Live Aloha on the Big Island of Hawaii

The Hawaiian Islands were first settled as early as 400 C.E., when Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands, some 2000 miles away, traveled to Hawaii’s Big Island in canoes. They were highly skilled farmers and fishermen.  Hawaiians lived in small communities. the historic cultural footprint can be discovered on each island and is an important part of who we are and how we live.

The Big Island of Hawaii is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. It is almost twice the size of all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined.  One can experience all but four of the world's different climate zones here, ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra, a result of the shielding effect and elevations of the massive volcanoes Maunakea and Maunaloa. From black sand beaches to a snow capped volcano, there is much to see and do here, but most of all one learns to travel outside their usual day-to-day life and learn to Live Aloha.

About Hawaiian Shores

Papio Paradise is what we've named this lot at the corner of Papio and Well Streets. You can see why.  Located in the sunbelt of Hawaiian Shores Subdivision, an upscale oceanfront community with underground utilities, private water, paved roads, & mail delivery. The subdivision is not a cookie cutter neighborhood.  It is the only subdivision in the Puna district that is private - offering its owners access to a private water well that supports the community. What that means is that catchment water is not necessary.  The community takes pride in its recreation center. It features a full size pool, tennis and basketball courts, along with a grassy park and bbq pavilions. There are easy to follow CC&R’s which protects your investment. Grounds and security crews do great work, as well.
